The original recipe contains sliced potatoes, but not cut all the way through. The spaces between the cuts are filled with butter, cheese, spices, and different other foods.
However, this recipe should not be limited to potatoes only. For example, you can cook chicken in this way, and you can stuff it with all kinds of foods.
The following recipe is going to help you prepare a really delicious, cheesy stuffed dinner.
- 1-pound chicken breasts
- 1 and a half cups fresh baby spinach
- Half a cup cottage cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Method of preparation:
Turn on the oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Then, add the olive oil in a sauté pan, add the spinach, and cook it for about 3 – 5 minutes. Then, stir in the cottage cheese, cook it for about one minute, and then leave it aside to cool.
Next, cut the chicken breasts into slices, one centimeter (0.39 inches) apart and about 75 percent of the way through the chicken. Add the mixture of spinach and ricotta into the cuts.
Season with salt and pepper, and for an enhanced flavor and color you can sprinkle with some red paprika on the top. Bake in your oven for 20-25 minutes until the juices are clear and the cheese is completely melted.
